Sunday, September 7, 1 - 4:30PM Plants are wonderful allies when it comes to first aid. From little ones' bumps and bruises to sprained ankles and bee stings - there is so much to be done with the plants that grow all around us. Spend an afternoon learning to identify and process these herbs, and begin to craft an herbal first aid kit to use at home and out in the field! This class will have a lot of information - accessible for beginners, and engaging for those with prior knowledge and experience in the herbal world. Topics will include: ~A wide range of remedy types with preparation instructions. ~Plants and protocols for minor cuts, scrapes, burns, bug bites & stings, sprains and strains, poison oak and other rashes, altitude sickness, eye infections, sunburn, gut bugs, support for mental and emotional discomfort, and more. ~Useful homeopathic remedies. ~Plant ID with focus on easy to grow plants and common herbs. ~Ideas for crafting your herbal first aid kit. ~Herbal safety and contraindications + when to seek trained medical support. ~Gardening info and wildcrafting ethics. ~Hands-on practice creating a variety of remedies. ~Q & A time. Fresh plants and herbs will be incorporated to attain plant ID proficiency, and for hands on experience working with herbs. We will practice making: ~Poultice for sprains ~Poultice for bites and stings ~Healing salve ~More Registration fee includes all supplies, take-home remedies made in class, an educational handout, and tea. What to bring: ~Notebook and pen ~Water bottle ~Snacks Bearfoot Botanicals products will be available to purchase at a discount for all workshop attendees. Please reach out with any questions. Cancellation Policy

All registration fees are non-refundable. Thank you for understanding. You may transfer your space to another person at no cost. If you are unable to attend, and contact me within 2 weeks of the class, I will issue a credit for a future offering, minus a $15 re-booking fee. Please do not attend class if you are sick. I will do my best to be understanding and work with people in unexpected circumstances. In the event of illness or an emergency, please contact me via email as soon as possible before the beginning of class to discuss a credit. If the class is canceled by the instructor, you will be given an option to reschedule for a future class, receive a shop credit, or receive a refund. Please allow up to 2 weeks for refund to be processed.
