Wednesday, October 21st, 5-8 PM Bearfoot Botanicals Herb Shop, Hood River, OR Let's get nerdy! Explore the world of medicinal mushrooms in this herbal workshop. This is beginner friendly and valuable for folks with some prior knowledge and experience. We will talk about identification and where to find different fungi. Lots of sample mushrooms will be present to look at! We will look at the science and practical applications of these mushrooms (and lichens!). Finally, we will go over preparation methods and tips for processing them to make the best remedies. Focus will be on Reishi, Lion's Mane, Red Belted Conk, Turkey Tail, Chaga, and a few others. Also included: ~Sourcing and safety. ~Books and field guides to browse. ~Wildcrafting ethics and good practices. ~Edible mushroom foraging and toxic look-alikes to watch out for. ~Samples to try. ~More! There will be unlimited hot tea, mushroom hot cocoa, and light snacks provided, as well as handouts to take home. All Bearfoot Botanicals products, plant starts, and bulk herbs will be 10% off for class participants. Please pre-register. This class is limited to 10 participants.

All registration fees are non-refundable. Thank you for understanding. You may transfer your space to another person at no cost. If you are unable to attend, and contact me within 2 weeks of the class, I will issue a credit for a future offering, minus a $15 re-booking fee. Please do not attend class if you are sick. I will do my best to be understanding and work with people in unexpected circumstances. In the event of illness or an emergency, please contact me via email as soon as possible before the beginning of class to discuss a credit. If the class is canceled by the instructor, you will be given an option to reschedule for a future class, receive a shop credit, or receive a refund. Please allow up to 2 weeks for refund to be processed.
